Besides creating the packages you can watch here on her website, Rachel was involved with Texas Newswatch during her final two semesters at the University of Texas at Austin.
Texas Newswatch is a live weekly newscast through the TV Reporting and TV Producing classes at University of Texas at Austin. It allows for those enrolled in the two classes to create their own program, including reporting, anchoring, technical directing, producing, and everything in between that goes into making a newscast.
During her last semester, she was heavily involved in the show's creation. She reported every week, with the exception of the Nov. 5 show that she produced instead. In addition to reporting, each week she rotated with her four other classmates in technical directing, anchoring, producing, and reporting as the multimedia newsroom correspondent.
